PROGRAMMES
Our mission is to build better lives through sport.
At the heart of what we do are the people we work with and the differences we make.
Take a look at some of our programmes below.
6-16+ YEARS
Sports Youth Camp
We use the power of sports to engage, develop and empower young people aged 6-16 in some of the most high-need areas of Bristol through free football and Basketball sessions and targeted interventions. We engage more than 100 young people every week.
The Sports Youth Camp supports every young person to achieve their goals. In an inclusive and welcoming environment, players will improve their football and basketball skills, mental & and physical health, make new friends and most importantly, have fun!
18+ YEARS
NextGen Premier League (npl)
An 8-Aside Football League organised by the community for the community. Our goal is to help promote social interaction and build community connections, which will help to prevent the isolation that can lead to victimisation. As of August 2023, we have organised 4 Leagues with over 12 teams participating and touching base with 80 young people across Bristol every week.
We also use the NPL to share information about resources and services with the community. This happens through an in person workshop which volunteers facilitate.

Coach Up
The programme combines hands-on training with online training to provide an intense, relevant learning environment that focuses on the art and practice of coaching. After completing the programme, one will have the coaching abilities necessary to start their coaching journey, as well as the ability to reflect on their own coaching experience.
This programme is built around Phoenix NextGen FC games, training, 1:1 mentoring and group sessions that will help and encourage each individual to stay on track and fulfil their potential. So far, six young people have completed the Coach Up programme, and all would recommend it to others!
16+ YEARS
NextGen Hub
NextGen Hub was started in 2022 by a group of local volunteers who felt there needed to be more safe, sociable activities for young people in inner city Bristol. Since then, the project has developed and grown to become one of our four core programmes in NextGen Circle. We offer a wide range of activities in safe spaces where young people are free to socialise and learn new skills, helping develop identities and unlock potential.
In addition, we have sponsored and donated to charities in Bristol. Our vision with this programme is to end up settling permanently at a location by establishing a Youth Centre in inner city Bristol.
